Project overview

A focused digital project built for clarity, trust and action.

LA Car Coding is a concept website pitched to a car coding and chiptuning business known on Instagram as @carcoding.la. The hero is a glowing orange tachometer. A pinned head-unit screen, built entirely in HTML and SVG, walks through the services: the factory menu, a CarPlay grid, navigation and a software update, a Stage 1 ECU flash with a dyno line from 150 to 190 hp, an RS-style gauge check and a coding screen with toggles and a log.

The goal was to make the offer easier to understand, present the work with stronger context and create a smoother path from first impression to contact, inquiry, booking or product evaluation.

Case study

More power, a smarter car.

Coding and remapping are invisible services: the work happens inside the car's software. The concept makes it visible by putting a believable car screen at the centre of the page and letting visitors build their own coding package before they send a message.

Illustrative horsepower on the dyno line; real figures depend on the car and are confirmed first.

The thinking behind the work

The brief

Turn software services into something you can see.

The business already has an audience on Instagram. The website needed to explain CarPlay and Android Auto activation, software and navigation updates, Stage 1 remaps and DPF, EGR and AdBlue solutions to drivers who are not technicians, and move them to a message.

Design direction

Amber on black, expanded type and a car interface.

Archivo Expanded headlines, Geist for text and Geist Mono for readouts. One amber accent (#FF8A1F) on near-black panels, like instrument lighting, with no neon gradients.

  • Pinned head-unit screen made of HTML and SVG, so it stays sharp and light.
  • Stacking service cards for the four service groups.
  • Interactive Stage 1 chart: pick an engine and the power and torque curves redraw (illustrative values, clearly labelled).

Lead flow

Build your package, then send it.

A coding-feature builder lists comfort, lighting, dashboard and multimedia options as toggles. The selection feeds a three-step form (car, service, contact) that prepares a WhatsApp or Viber message, so the shop receives model, engine and wishes in one go.

How it works

A clear process from the first step to the result.

  1. 01

    Research

Collect services and wording from the shop's Instagram profile.

  2. 02

    Interface

Design the head-unit screens and gauges as code, not images.

  3. 03

    Motion

Pinned screen sequence, tachometer hero, stacking cards and chart redraws.

  4. 04

    Leads

Feature builder and a three-step WhatsApp / Viber form.
